Graduate Students
Opportunities for graduate study (Masters or PhD) in Development Studies are available in the research group of Dr. Chuan Liao in the Department of Global Development at Cornell University. A full Graduate Assistantship will be provided with full tuition waiver and subsidized health insurance.
In my research group, the goal is to understand the pathways and mechanisms towards sustainable development. Thesis or dissertation research topics include but are not limited to:
- Food systems
- Inequality and development
- Sustainable intensification of agriculture
- Sustainable energy transition
- Global drylands
- Land tenure and land use change
- Human-environment systems
- Spatial analysis
